TileCal Extended Barrel Instrumentation at IFAE
With components supplied from:
CERN, Chicago, Clermont-Ferrand, Illinois, Lisbon, Pisa, Protvino, Texas Arlington, Yerevan
Goals:
- Optical instrumentation of 65 extended barrel modules
- Source testing of 65 extended barrel modules
Assembly site:
Schedule of operations : (PS)
- Starting in September 1999 and ending in July 2002
- 33 periods of 4 weeks
- In each period 2 extended barrel modules will be constructed, instrumented and tested. Production movements diagram.
Schedule of tasks in one period: (mpp file, PS)
- Each period consists of 4 weeks of scheduled tasks. Contigencies are included in the tasks duration
- Instrumentation is integrated in the full process of modules construction
- Instrumentation of 2 modules can be done in series or in parallel (requires increase of manpower)
- Source testing of a module can be done in parallel with instrumentation in another module
- Instrumentation and testing operations independent from shipment operations
- Tasks descriptions, mpp file.
Manpower
Manpower extrictly assigned to instrumentation and testing:
- 2 FTE Mechanical Technician (scheduled tasks)
- 0.25 FTE Production Engineer (supervisor, production QC documentation)
- 1 Physicist (testing, funcionality QC documentation)
